Day 1

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Kigali and then drive to Akagera national park, where we shall do a morning game drive, have a picnic lunch in the park, enjoy beautiful sceneries of Rwanda’s hilly landscape comprised of a blend of wetlands, savannah, and woodland, the natural forests also provide a relaxing feeling. The location of the park shows that it lies at a lower altitude as compared to rest of the country, therefore meaning that it is not only warmer but also more drier in the dry season. Some of the wildlife expected to be seen here includes Giraffes, Buffalos, Lions and Elephants as well as a profusion of birds. If fortunate, we may be able to sight at the Shoebill Stork, especially around the shores of the lake. From here you will drive back to Kigali for dinner at hotel des mille collines. After enjoying your dinner, you will be dropped back to your hotel.
